The attraction of a continuous crystallizer is its built in flexibility for control of temperature, supersaturation, nucleation, crystal growth and all the other parameters that influence crystal size distribution.
In addressing the requirements for a new design of continuous cooling crystallizer, we recognise that crystallization depends on three factors. First, it depends on the solubility with temperature and solvent composition. Second, crystallization depends on the crystal growth rate and third it depends on the “cooling curve".
Our design of reactor offers a solution to each of these issues. We have a working system and are interested to hear from companies who would like to try this new technology in their application.
